SESH Hairdressing Re-launch Event

Recently I had the pleasure of going along the amazing relaunch event for SESH Hairdressing.

SESH teamed up with the Malmaison Hotel in Leith to offer us a few lovely cocktails and canapes - which I very much enjoyed -  before we headed over to the salon to find out what it's all about!

It was a wonderful night full of fizz, meeting some great people and learning the ins and outs of the reboot of SESH.

SESH Hairdressing are a salon in Leith, Edinburgh and have been going strong for 15 years. Created by Salon Owner, Simon Hill, SESH has been refitted to create a contemporary and relaxing ambience.

The salon now expands over 3 separate rooms, kitted out 12 hair stations, a back washroom - which is kitted out with lower lighting for added relaxation - a consultation table,  and a wonderfully lit and open aesthetic.

For once, going into a hairdressing salon, I actually thought I looked pretty good in the mirrors - which is a huge thanks to the way the salon has been reworked.

Owner Simon commented how he feels about the new salon: "I am delighted with the way the salon looks, and after a busy few weeks organising the refit I feel very proud of the new look and the response from our launch night.  Clients who enter our salon do so because they are looking to us to help them look and perhaps more importantly, feel better. Our hairdressers are not only fantastc at giving the very highest quality hair treatments, cuts and colour makeovers but they are naturally empathetic, warm and interested in each and every client's emotional well-being too."

Something I love about the refit of SESH, is that instead of having hair inspo pictures dotted around, they have art instead, including a commissioned piece of a gargoyle that's on the outside of the building.

While there, all guests were invited to enjoy a blowdry, or a hair curl at the curl bar station with the new Hot Tools curling iron, showcased by Janie Randall, owner of We Love Hair & Beauty!

The Consultation table, mentioned earlier, is one of the new additions to the salon, and somewhere I spent a while at! I sat down with Creative Director Vicky, who talked me through finding the perfect colour I'm looking for and how to achieve it. I was also introduced the new Wella Colour Create range, which looks A-ma-zing.

Everyone was beyond accommodating - the SESH team really take their time to help you find what you're looking for, and have the skills and beyond to help you bring your ideas to life!

To sum all my gushing up, SESH Hairdressing is absolutely somewhere you need to visit if you want your hair to look it's best, and feel great while you're getting it done.

If you'd like to have more of a look into SESH and getting -as they say - beautiful hair with Leith Flair, I'll pop all the links and contact details below!

  1. Sounds really lovely Ci, you should add/make a post about how they said they could work with your hair type also! In a euro-centric area like Scotland I know it isn't easy to find somewhere that can accommodate your lovely curls!

  2. Wow this place is stunning. I wish we had something as beautiful as this around here. Makes me want to hop on a plane and check it out. Costly for a salon appointment lol. That top you are wearing is gorgeous!
